I turned my amp on for the first time with no tubes in it. I get the following voltage readings:

Green wires at indicator light: 3.0V AC
Black wires at indicator light: 3.0V AC

5Y3 socket:
Pin 8: 0V
Pin 2: 3.2V (should this be 5.0V?)
Pin 4: 362V
Pin 6: 362V

Heater wires at all connection points: 3.0V AC
Connections at power switch: 20.4V AC
Connections at both points of fuse: 20.4V AC

Does the above all seem ok? Next the instructions say to plug in the rectifier tube and test all the plate voltages at the tube sockets. The 5Y3 lights up nicely, but I have no idea where the plate voltages are, and on which sockets? Where should I be measuring?
With the rectifier tube in only, stand -by switch on, I now get 496V DC at pin 2, and still 496V DC at pin 8. Also with 5Y3 in, and stand-by on I get 496V at the stand-by switch. I assume it's higher than 400V as there is no preamp or main tubes installed.

Went ahead and put all the tubes in and fired up the amp last night and it was quiet...No noise unless I poked around with the DMM, and I could hear some crackling form the speaker.
Thought about any areas where I was not 100% clear on understanding what I was doing. The only thig I was unsure of, was the installation of a coax, shielded wire from V2 to a volume pot. The shielding is sent to point 1 on the pot, the center of the wire is sent to point 3. The other end goes to V2. I had just cut the end of coax straight off and soldered it to the tube pin. The tube end was the problem. I had to remove the coax wire and strip back the shielding so only the center wire was touching the tube pin. It turns out the shielding was contacting the tube pin 2 also. Flip the switch and success! We have rock'n roll. The amp works fine. No idea on how it sound yet, just working with a speaker on the bench. The circuit is a little noisy or buzzy at idle. I will have to double check all my ground points I guess, re-solder some maybe. I want it quieter. I am happy it works though, and looking forward to putting it in the cab.

Next I will check all my voltages and see where I am.

The voltages are off. 5VAC across pin 8 & 2 on the rectifier and 6 VAC across pin 4-5 and 9 on the 12 AX/AY. Check that and the AC volts across the Red secondary wires.

Maybe you wired the transformer for 240 volts?

That was exactly what I needed Stephen. The layout with the wire colours was perfect. I was able to confirm that I did indeed have my power supply wired correctly. I bought myself a decent quality digital multiple meter today and rechecked all my voltages. Here is where I am. In brackets is suggested values

The voltages seem a little off. I'm sure it will work. Not sure why when the B+ is spot on. Is the AX7 in socket 2 & AY7 in socket 1?

Anyway, how does it sound?
