Ive recently started building a TC15 and so far im very happy with how its coming along. Voltage test was good. I am almost done and all that is left is the VRM. Does anyone have a diagram or pictures of the actual hook up? Im not sure where the B+ is coming in from and the output is going to. Sorry but im new here and this is my first build.

Hi Frank, welcome to the forum.

I have never installed one, but there's information on the VRM on page 2 in the Resources section here. It says to install it so the input goes to the Standby switch and the first filter cap and the output goes to the main B+.

In a TC-15 that would mean connecting the VRM input to the left terminal on the can capacitor, C13. The Standby swith connects there too.

Then the red center tap wire for the output transformer and R29, the 1K5 5 watt resistor, connect to the VRM output instead of C13.

I would make sure the amp works normally before installing the VRM. Sometimes people have had problems.

The TC-15 is a great sounding amp. I'm sure you will like it when you get it finished. And yes, tube amp building is addictive! I started with a TC-15 and I have about nine amps now.

A Triwatt would be good for your next build. I would build one except I have already built a couple of Hiwatt inspired amps, a 30 watt and a 50 watt. Trinity's version is pretty authentic when it comes to tone and circuitry.

Ok, I started a new thread because I finished the build and everything seems well but i am not getting any sound on any inputs. Not really sure where to start from here. Input jacks maybe?

If voltages are all good, then you need to test the input leads to make sure there is continuity from the tip of the cable, when plugged in, to the grid resistor. i.e. make sure the inputs are not accidentally grounded.
Go from there.
