I bought my Tweed kit about a year ago.
The project was delayed due to kids graduating, moving to different cities (one to Calgary, the other to London, ON), etc... life happens.
I built the kit at the beginning of March this year. My first amp kit. The instructions were terrific, especially the heater wiring how-to and grounding.
I made a few minor errors - placement of some to the resistors - but got it straightened out.

WOW
This amp is quiet for background hum.... loud as beejeezus when you drive it. I put it in an old cab (mahogany and old as the hills) along with a vintage USA made C12N Jensen (pulled from my Leslie cabinet). Gets me right into 'Cinnamon girl" tone! I played with the controls as I've never had a 5E3.... set tone @ 9 - the "used" channel vol at 7 and the unused channel vol at zero. Smooth power tube distortion - lovely stuff.
And of course it really cleans up for glassy tone. Lots and lots of bass.
This is a fine kit for the money, I'm very happy.
