Hi there
I haven't seen much documented anywhere about the two effects loops being out of phase from each other. Each return feeding both inverting and non-inverting sides of the PI
This won't work with stereo units like my H9s that blend l+r in some algos. Plus this type of passive loop has a hot signal. If I drove the preamp hard in my ef86/el84 badcat it would clip the loop before I could get useable preamp overdrive .
I am thinking of a dual Buffered dumbulator type circuit that has a Dual phase reverse( in and out) for one channel. With a divider in front to drop the level , and 2:1 make up gain on the return.
So questions for the smart kids
What would be the ideal impedance to load the send and not skrog the eq? And best impedance to load the PI inputs , both phases? I believe the input is high Z 1Meg And the PI in would be hopefully low Z?? And for extra credit... which 3.15v tap is out of phase from the 5v tap? I am considering a small bridge rectifier and filtering for a 20mA 8.15V supply ... to drive the opamps.
And hi there! I'm the new guy. My TC15 is on the way. .... to replace my badcat that got smished in a wreck.
