Hello Stephen, we are really enjoying our Triwatt anyway back to the question.

I see you have omitted the ground wire from the speaker out jack to V5 pin 1. I was wondering why and should I take that ground wire off my amp?

Sorry this reply is so late, I just compared the differences, mine shopped with the older layout. I imagine the ground wire is omitted because of redundancy. The barrel is already grounded through the chassis because it makes direct contact and this tab is another connection to the barrel. If it's already installed, there's no harm in leaving it or taking it off. If you leave it and there's a tad bit of noise, it's a simple removal to eliminate a possible ground loop, though I don't imagine it'd be a huge problem.
