I have a 2007 Trinity sIII, never used the boost switch before. I have recently installed the VRM mod so I can crank up the amp for home use. The amp is dead silent with no instrument plugged in and the TMB channel gain & volume are on 10 and the Trem channel volume & tone are on ten. When I engage the boost switch there is a lot pop and both channels produce a hiss when the volume and gain are turned past 7 and gets progressively louder. I'm assuming the hiss is produced by the carbon comp resistors when the signal boost is switched on. What would be the best way to eliminate the hiss ?

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

The pop is because of the extreme boost.
You can try metal or carbon film resistors around V2 and try them on v1-v2 plate resistors.

Thanks, will do with the resistors. I also read somewhere on the forum about a soft boost. Is this a mod or user add on ? Is there a drawing ?

Thanks Again
