 Post subject: Voltage testing

Hi all,

For voltage testing do I simply clamp ground to ground of amp and insert red probe into appropriate tube socket? As per images below.

Also - when doing this so I need a speaker attached at all times to ensure a load is on the amp.

Yes clamp your - (black) probe to ground (chassis).

Use the +(red) probe to check voltages. You can either hold the probe on the pins inside the amp or stick them through like the pic.

If you are doing any tests with the 6V6s installed then a speaker is required.
