Still wondering about the labelling. of the power switch.
Old B15 had standby switch on rear of chassis.

My B18 project has three switches side by side that balances the inputs, standby, ground and power, no switches on the back panel so looks like there were variations.

I guess something like that would work in this case too.

Yep, the three input, six knob, three switch layout does give a symmetrical look.
I can take a picture if you want.
Back panel has the fuse holder, extension amp, extension speaker and a hum control

Yes, certainly more balanced. Looking for some more input.

More symmetric, I like it.

Probably easier to wire, the progressive switch can be confusing to wire.

Small edit on the new design to angle off left & right side lines.

Queston re: Labelling of the inputs and channels.

Do you prefer

Normal and Cascade or something like NC-64 and NF-65-67

NC-64 and NF-65-67 might be more accurate, but seems kinda klunky. Also The NC's ran through at least part of 65, near as I can tell, as I have one. If not Normal/Cascade, maybe NC-64/NF-66? But given my whimsical/sarcastic nature, I might prefer Normal/Abnormal :)
Anyways. The reason I logged in was to ask the chassis dimensions. I am 99% certain, I'm getting one of these. As I do not have the time right now to do anything with it, I'm in no hurry. But I'm thinking to design 'double baffle' speaker boxes to sit under the head. I'm thinking to scale down the classic double baffle 15 to a 12. I would not make it a flip top. So the dimension of the head would be informative on dimensioning the speaker box(es)

Thanks,
Andrew

Thanks for the feedback. We will be shipping soon so you have good timing. Chassis Dimensions are 17" X 2.5" X 8"

We will be designing a 15" double baffle so if you buy the kit, we will share the cabinet design with you. Plan is to be as authentic 15 inch portaflex as possible.

Thanks for the input. Most people understand Normal and Cascade and might not really know the amp types. I think we'll leave it as originally planned. Normal is Low Gain and Cascade is High Gain.

Well, it looks like you're badly barred. Especially with your project that may take the water if you're not careful.
