So, I made one 2X10 with re-issue Jensens in a 15 and want to make another. But I want to select a good speaker for a 30W 2X10 Lightning I'm building for a customer.

Looking for Lead, Rock sound, clean to somewhat dirty. Owner currently has a Mesa. Stage levels required.

Any thoughts?

Stephen, Eminance has 3 models of 10" speakers; 2 in the Patriot series and 1 in the Red Coat series. As you know, I'm very happy with the 2 units I bought, check them out.

I have a 2x10 cab that has a BBQ Alnico Blue Pup and Alnico Silver Ten in it and it sounds really good. I have used the cab with my Lightning and have been very happy with the tone.

Ask Lawrence if he has tried the 10" Sammis yet, I have some but they are still in their boxes. I have been told a 2 X 10 with these is very good.

I'll ask around. I didn't know the Sammis had a 10" Alnico model. That might be worth trying out.

My 12" Sammi gets better by the day, I have been using it for rehersals for the last six or so weeks but ended up using the Bassman and Fender Reverb clone for the gig because I never got to cover the case of the Sammi and the Phoenix TR is still out on loan.

Greg says he was not impressed with the 10" Sammis he got and is not carrying them right now.
Any other suggestions?
