Hello
I have an 18watt amp. I am using a MXR Carbon Copy Analog delay pedal right before the amp.
The delay pedal outputs a very high frequency noise when I use extreme delay settings on the pedal.
My 18watt amp seems to amplify this frequency very well. Doh!!
The frequency is up around the 14500Hz - 20000Hz range and is loud enough to make the extreme delay settings on the pedal unusable.
I have already done everything with the pedal itself. I sent it to Bob Cedro at JimDunlop and he was able to reduce the clock noise, but it is still there at very high delay settings.
My Idea is to add a small capacitor from tip to ground in my A/B pedal which is between the delay and amp.
I would put a toggle on the A/B pedal to insert the Capacitor into the circuit and call it "CUT".
I have no Idea what size of Cap to use for this. I want to cut all frequencies above 14500hz without darkening my tone too much.
Any input?? Would this cap cause any damage to my pedals before the A/B???
