Well, apparently my favourite cab with the v6 is the Marshall 1960 with G12T-75s! LOL!

And it looks like the 3 cabs I'll be taking with me to the Trinity Amps desert island will be the Mesa Recto 4x12 with V30s, the Marshall 1960 4x12 with G12T-75s, and the Trinity 2x12 with Tone Tubby Alnicos!! :D

This was a tough one. I got it down to 4 contenders. Perhaps the most natural sound was the TTA but I liked a little more of the fullness of the G1275 cab. The v30 were a bit too much in that area for my tastes. Could be a 412 TTA would be the ticket here :D

Well, I wouldn't be upset at all if I had the opportunity to hear a 4x12 with TTA's!!!! 8)

Another tough one to call. I had to rule out the TT's & the Fender right away. Oddly, the very things that made me like the TTA in the other clean clip didn't show here at all.

And on a similar note, the things that worked against the G10's in other clips worked for me here. I like my cleans full. However, the lack of definition in the G10's gave the nod to the Greenbacks.

Boy - this is fun. Great way to kill an evening. I wish I had all these cabs here...I could kill a week with all the amps I have!

A week?!? :? Man, I do have all these cabs - add 20 amps and 15 or so guitars into the equation, and geez it would be easy to kill the next decade... and not even notice!!!! :!:

And yeah, it IS fun! :D

Enjoyed all your comments on the clips Emohawk - thanks for joining in!! :)

I wonder if by playing a particular riff from a song we all know, we are prejudiced towards the speaker which gets us closest to what we hear on the cd or radio? I feel like the greenbacks are closest to frusciante's tone in this clip and maybe that is why we like them.

great comparisons anyway, very useful.

Wow, five polls so far, and I've now voted for Greenbacks three times.

I never had any clue I liked them. Never owned one too.
