Chassis are now available at Ceri@tone. One for his transfomers, the other for the Westlabs/Matchless actual size. In the case of the Trinity 15 or this c-30, size matters. Trannies are the secret sauce on amps. The ones that Trinity uses on their Lightning are the best out there. Same with the 30 watt size (I'm sure Trinity will be selling these at some point)

I've been a lurker around here for a while. This is my first post.

I've got a genuine HC-30 head cabinet that came from a guy who wanted to make his HC-30 into a DC-30. I want to put a 30 watt amp into. I've already got the West Labs iron and I was planning to do the Ceri@tone kit. However, it seems that I'm stuck because of the chassis size issue.

Original Matchless chassis : 17.5" x 8.7" x 2.25" (445mm x 220 mm x 58 mm)
Ceri@tone DC-30 kit chassis : 19" x 9" x 2.5"
Largest possible chassis for the head : 18" x 9" x 2.5"

Even if I could shave 1" off the Ceri@tone chassis width, I don't think the faceplate would match with the front opening in the head. I think it's laid out wider on Nik's because of the wider chassis.

Does anyone know where I can get a chassis the same size as the Matchless one? Punching the chassis and making a faceplate are a little more than I was hoping to have to do, but I'd really like to use the cabinet I've got. It's got some great mojo.

Any thoughts or help are greatly appreciated.

I have one 15 left you could use. 17 X 9 X 2.5. Email me and we can discuss it. It is cut for 15 watt trannies and the 15 controls but you could open it up and punch some new holes where you want them.
