Hi, my first post here, I'm Dino, from Croatia, my english is not very good, but you will understand pictures and clips, I made AC30 klon with only EF86 chanel and SS rectlifer.

Cut pot cap is from hoffmans scheme, and i think it i have to be 100n becouse cut working only at last quoter of turn

secondary winding on transformer is 300V, so B+ must be slight over that because it have SS rectlifer, i did not measure B+,iwas too happy it works, because it's my first amp :oops: :oops:


I forgot to mention, it have 6 point tone switch like matchless DC30, but i don't remember all Cap values, not identical values but close.

I would measure the B+ becasue 300 V + SS rectifier might have more than 400 V on the plates of the EL84 and you shouldnt have that much.

A tube rectifier (5AR4) would probably solve that.

But I would check.

I know that i should measure B+, and i wanted do that when i finish box, but last 6 months waiting for free time :(
But Amp still working last 6 months, I played it every week two times for 2- hours, and it have good sound all time.
