Regarding hook wire, is the thicker grey? insulated wire included in the kit, I may have asked before, looks like you need quite a bit of it?

Is extra heater wiring included in the recent kits? Sounds like bulider synthetic ran out?
Who knows what mistakes I might make, maybe I'll need some extra wire too?

Thanks for a great site.

Johnny :)

When I got my kit there was plenty of wire for everything. I was a little to generous with my yellow leads and had to substitute a different color for one connection.

Thanks much, good to know. I know their are certain leads that must have the sheilded cable to avoid hum I guess.

The other thing is which leads of the transformers can be twisted/bundled for neatness and what can't because it might create hum? Some builds I have seen have alot of wiring in bundles and tie wrapped together.

I guess that would be in Stephen's instruction manual.

Say, does Stephen include the bolts/screws to attach the chassis to a head cab, maybe I can ask him to put them in? I have no clue on that. HOw do you kow where to drill the holes in the cab since I guess you have to drill from the bottom..maybe make some type of template?

I'm pretty stupid in the electronics department, but I can follow directions well. I looked at alot of photographs on these forums, and tried to mimic what I saw. As far as the shielded cable, you'll see in photos where the grey coax is used for the low level audio signals.

For hardware, the kit comes with some clip-on bolts you put under the chassis for head cabinet attatchment. I ended up with a little pile of unused stuff and I figured the kit comes with a few different and extra components for an open ended construction.

We to provide all the wire required including all the shielded cable necessary and the mounting nuts and bots for all kits.

As far as the leads of the transformers that can be twisted/bundled for neatness, the layout is pretty good for that, plus, as mentioned above, pictures are very useful as well.
