 Post subject: Vrm question.

Hi, i have a vrm installed on my 18w ,with the amp and gain volume on 10 . When i drop the volume pot of the vrm is below 3h (3/4) i lost a lot of gain . Is it normal?

Are you controlling the whole amp or just the power section. I would not expect a big change in tone if it was the whole amp.

Yes the whole amp and when i lower the vrm pot i lost a lot of gain ...

I do loose gain with the setting from just on till about 11 o'clock. I've done this with el84's and 6cm6 (6v6).
If I'm playing with low voltage tend to use an ep booster to make it up
