I have begun my triton build. I have the PT wired up and it says in the builders guide that now would be a good time to check that the PT is working properly. I am confused as to which voltages I am supposed to check.. the 315 vac and 5 vac at the rectifier socket?

Those and the 6.3V AC heater for the valves.

Awesome. Thanks for the reply. I was looking into it and I found some information I am unsure about.

I am waiting for the speaker I will be using with the Amp to come in. Is it possible to test those points without a load plugged into the output jack?

Also I was wondering about possible variac suggestions to buy.. I had messaged Stephen directly about it and he recommended at least building a simple lightbulb limiter. I plan on continuing to learn and build and was interested in getting a variac anyways. Didn't know how much to spend as they range in price from $50-on way up.

Also I thought it may be useful to mention that I have finished assembling the amp and I still haven't tested the power supply.. Is that bad?
