After finally getting my OSD build up and running, I decided to make it better. What could go wrong ??? When I purchased my kit 3 years ago, I also purchased the optional effects buffer board. After installing the board, I powered up the amp, but had no OD, Argh !!. Checking around for what happened, I see that the bias switch had a burn mark on it and the fuse had blown. The NFP wire was a tad too close to the switch and sparked to the switch. I decided to remove the board and and go back to when I had it working. Now I'm 2 steps back and the amp is not working. Installed a new switch and to resoldered a few connections. We're back up and running without the effects buffer. Moral of the story, If it ain't broke, don't fix it !!! Maybe someday I'll try to install that buffer, but not anytime soon.......
