In some cases, you may get a pop when switching an amp.

Try this to eliminate the pop if your amp has a standby switch:

Put a .05 uF 600V ceramic disc capacitor from the rectifier side of the standby switch contact, to chassis ground.

If you dont have a standby switch, try this:

Put a .05 uF 600V ceramic disc capacitor from the live side of the power switch contact, to chassis ground.

You can also try .1 uf 600V across the switch contacts.

Use minimum 600V caps in this application!

Hint: You can probably find other places to put this cap that may be more convenient to the chassis ground. e.g. rectifier tube pin to chassis and fuse holder to chassis.

Does anyone have any other suggestions??
