What grills are you guys using. I figure this would be the easiest to find. I was wrong again. I checked all the super stores, re: home depot reno depot etc.... no luck.

Where do you guys get yours? I am in Canada, any here?

Thanks,

Bob

go back to Home Depot. Use mesh that's used to cover the Rain Gutters. Aluminum, silver and you cany spray paint it gold. Didn't you get one with your cabinet?

What I bought was just the cabinet. Not a kit. No tolex covering from reason. I have bought most of my parts seperate. I have to build my board next. I allready covered my cabinet with tolex. It turned out pretty good if I have to say so for myself.

Thanks,
I just picked some up and it cost me $3.97. I am going to paint it black, I think it will look better than gold. My tolex is black.

Hi,

Are you talking about grillcloth to cover the speaker? That's available at Mojotone, AES, Hoffmann, the usual suspects.

Other options: Art supply stores carry copper, brass and aluminium screen mesh for sculptors. It's similar to the mesh used for microphone windscreens. Also, McMaster-Carr carries perfed metal by the square foot. Their catalog is bewilderingly huge, but their search engine actually works. (mcmaster.com)

I am talking about the grill for ventilation. The 18watter has it on the top.
I used the stuff they use to cover gutters on your house. Looks good.

Speaking of grill cloth, I am looking on the parts sites and they want 24.00 to 39.99 a yard. I think this is too high. Plus I will have to pay customs and extra shipping to Montreal Canada. I will try looking in material shops to find some.

My 18watter has black tolex, so I would say the salt & pepper type colour. It doesn't have to be marshall, I don't care about original looking, etc...

So a light color. You have piping for sale? both tpes for the 18watter?

thanks Bob

I can sell some white piping and black Marshall basket weave grill cloth.. Everything else I currently have is sold. I can add to my next order if you're willing to wait.

I installed my tolex, and it turned out pretty nice. I was thinking of coloured grill cloth, but black grill cloth on black tolex with white piping doesn't sound too bad. Do you have the white string piping for the two trim on top and bottom?

The white on top (veining) is 1/8" diameter so it would have to fit the grooves already cut out.
TIP: Remove the tail from standard white piping and then install the remaining round piece.

email me and we can finish this off.

Isn't the standard piping 1/4" ? That won't fit in the groove for the string piping which you said is 1/8".

There are many sizes available but I like to use the 1/8" piping for the 1 & 2 X 12's and heads. It's just right! :D
