I just went to the TT website. Really never looked at it too much before (didn't have the extra $). I didn't think they made an 8". So I decided to look around.
They do make an 8".
So now my question is what kind of a speaker did they make for you.
The 1 they offer is a ceramic (I guess Jensen replica, although better), so is the one they made you Alnico? Or did they make you something special?
The speaker they show is the green 1 (be cooler if it was still "red").

So, anyway, now my curiosity is up    :D :D

Also, what do you mean "NOS" OT?
What a pain I am, eh!

I keep this up, the amp will never get built :bugeye: :bugeye: :rol :rol

The speaker is not advertised [yet I guess] and it is ceramic. When I talked to John Harrison, he told me that they did build a prototype 8" Alnico but the sound differences were not as apparent as in the larger sizes and the cost, was not justified.

The NOS was built by Heyboer to original Champ specs [so NOS]. It's a starting point. I was looking for something close to get started.

Good morning sir - plan will be to have as large a chassis inside the cab as can fit for optional extras. That way, experimenter will have possibilities. Probaby punch a couple of extra holes for 9 pins's. The chassis cost the same anyway.

Just will have limited front panel opening space. Course I could put the power switch on the back, more controls, options . . . :hmmm:

There is always that delicate balance of adding functionality and keeping the traditional look. A base model with expansion room sounds like a great approach. Looking forward to it!

Add to the mix of trying to keep the cost under control.

Careful Stephen, if you have more room in the chassis, Jac will want his reverb and trem :D :D :D :D

Keep us posted :P

Boy, SOME PEOPLE  :D :D
I being written about in the 2nd person all of a sudden :rol
I agree with coco, no trem and reverb for now, add as an option later. Although adding a couple extra holes to the chassis is a great idea AND I really like the power switch on the back, it might not look original but, who ever heard of a "Tweedle" anyway :rol :rol
You'll be using Heyboer trannies and, well, the best! :D :D
This is a Trinity, not your, they happened to make a mistake, Fender

Also, don't forget the "headphone jac",  8)

And though this would add additional cost, would be very 8) to add a plastic nameplate to the cab
You know "Trinity Tweedle" Very nifty :D :D :D

Oh and are we now getting "formal? "Good Morning Sir"

What happened to the posting? Can't look at previous replies to "quote" sentences?

Any progress on the Tweedle, or has the project been back-burnered?

Got the drawings out and was getting ready to cut the chassis. Found the PT I had on hand had too high voltage.

Got to rethink. Need to re-set. :hmmm:

Phil @ Heyboer has an option I think.. for a lower voltage PT. Slight delay!
