Hi all,

I brought my Tramp to my cousin's place for our annual Christmas Eve kitchen party. He plugged in his '69 Tele and in less than 10 minutes looked at me & said "I want one". So I sold him mine.

And this was with the 10" TT San Rafael installed - the speaker I don't really like with the amp! Each to his own I guess. He says it's the first time his Tele has sounded like it should. Pretty cool.

I guess as some point in the new year I'll be building another Tramp. Time TBD!

I miss those, the best parties in the world take place in Newfie kitchens.

Quote:
In their minds' eye, most Newfoundlanders can see the "kitchen party": Drinkers and carousers crowd around a woodstove or step dance across the floor, while a few musicians sit in the corner trading songs and tunes. The kitchen party has been enshrined as an iconic image of the Newfoundland lifestyle

Yeah - those kitchen shindigs are always a bit of fun...especially when I get to play around with a Tele that's nearly as old as I am. :)

I don't know if I'll be building another Tramp right away. I REALLY should get to re-building that old bass amp in the basement...or terraform-ing it might be a better description. Now a Yamaha 150B, to become a Marshall SuperBass maybe.

Thanks for the tip! I tried my CS Nocaster in the green Tramp and was pleased how glassy the neck pickup sounded. Taking it to a jam right now but I will do some clips when I get back later tonight.

Let us know how that Jam goes. It should be pretty cool.
