I have finished my first 5e3 build. It has been a great fun. With final testing and startup, I'm getting very high voltages. I've looked through the forums and can't find any posted this high with other voltage questions. While I would like to think I'm just an over-achiever with these high numbers, I'm afraid of what I'll burn out. The amp does work BTW and lets me play guitar through all four channels. Why am I getting these high voltages?

V1: pin 1: 217 (120 expected)
pin 2.3 (ok, 1.8 expected)
pin 6: 212. (120 expected)

V2: pin 1: 264. (120 expected)
pin 3: 1.3 (ok, 1.3 expected)
pin 6: 327 (191 expected)
pin 7: 15.6. (ok, 17 expected)
pin 8: 66.9. (not sure, 45 expected)

V3: pin 3: 589. (356 expected)
pin 4: 522. (326 expected)
pin 8: 31 (not sure, 20 expected)

V4 (exactly as V3)

Measuring across the circuit board left to right gives the following voltages (with expected in parentheses):

31 (22).... 597 (400) .... 545 (348) .... 391 (255).... 68 (50).... 16 (18).... 324 (204).... 259 (158).... 1.3 (1.4).... 215 (130).... 209 (130).... 2.2 (2.0)....

Any thoughts of where to check first? I have looked through connections and resistor colors a couple of times (doesn't mean I couldn't have missed several things though. First build....)

Thanks

On a follow up note...

For the benefit of future new builders, having a decent voltage meter is actually important if you want real numbers. Using a 20 year old meter with no instructions and limited knowledge will lead to crazy numbers. I was using a setting for AC while trying to measure DC. Actual numbers were much lower. Lesson learned. Embarrassed, but moving on.
