Hey y'all! First post from a Trinity amp fan and my first build (5e3 kit). Build went off without a hitch and the amp sounds incredible. I do have one question though. I opted to install VRM kit at the time of build, and everything seems to be working properly. All voltages are within 10% of what they should be, and I get a voltage change when adjusting VRM. However, when running the VRM at about 50% or so, the MOSFET gets so hot you can't touch it (think of how hot a power tube gets). I haven't actually measured the temp, but I will if need be.
I have the MOSFET installed on the side of the chassis according to the diagram. Like I said, the amp works perfectly, but I just wanted to know if this heat is normal. I've played it maybe 45 minutes continuously at the longest at somewhat bedroom volume.
Thanks for all your help everyone!
