I have finished my 5E3 build and everything sounds great. The one issue I had with the assembly is that the Jensen speaker with bell cover does not fit the cabinet. I order to put everything together I needed to remove the bell

I built the cabinet to specs as per the plans provided by modulus-amp. The cabinet is 16.5 inches high, with a 15 inch internal height. This dimension does not provide adequate space for the chassis and the bell cover to co-exist.

If this is the specs for the original 5E3 - how did Fender ssqueeze everything in? Was the Jensen bell smaller, or was the chassis more compact (by about 1")?

Curious

The original was about (H) 16'' x (W) 20'' x (D) 9-1/2'' . I think the bells were smaller.
