If you are pretty certain it is happening at the power output, try one or all of these: put 10K on the grids of the 6V6; decrease a coupling cap to .02 on one channel (to test theory); put another16 uf in parallel with the first filter cap.

I'm currently going to back feed a 1 volt ac signal on the output transformer and see if I get an even increased voltage between the centre tap and the two leads from the plates.
The speaker is a vintage 1960 65 watt 8 ohm maybe it wiped out one side of the primary windings of the OT.

Hi Mickey, I had the same problem with my Deluxe and it turned out to be a bad preamp ground right at the star ground.

Ok I'll try that.
I have been talking to Stephen and he has bee incredible with trying to resolve the problem.
I'll get back to you as soon as I try it.

Re soldered the grounds. Checked continuity on every lug etc.
still no change.
Stephen is going to send me a new output transformer. That's all that it could be.
Or some voodoo capacitor or connection. There aren't that many parts.
I will pursue until I find the cause.
