Hey everyone,

Thanks to coco, I got to take the TC-15 prototype for a drive. I have
recorded a few clips, which I'll get to, but first the rig.

I plugged the head into a Traynor Bass cab with a single 8ohm 15 speaker
(Don't know what it is, but its vintage 1970's). Not sure how many of you
would do that so I won't go into detail on the sonic properties of the
speaker and cab. Recordings were made with coco's attenuator to keep the
family from complaining.

No effects used, natch! Guitars - Mid 80's Korean Squire Strat with Fender
Lace Sensor pickups, Blue in the neck and middle positions and a Silver in
the bridge position. I did the cleaner stuff with that on the Treble Bass
channel, with some dirty stuff on the One track by switching the guitar
cable(hence the pause).

Amp settings - In O'Clock (No markings on faceplate yet)
Code:
  Master       |              Channel 1              |       Channel 2 (EF-86)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  Vol  |  Cut  |Treble | Bass |   Vol | Toggle switch | Contour |  Vol

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12   |  12   |   5   |   2  |   9   |      Down     |    12   |       5

Please be aware that I will never be mistaken for James Hetfield or any pro
guitar player, so there's plenty of flubs...just so you know before you
click.

Both tracks with the strat:

The following tracks were done with my 95ish stock Gibson explorer, which is
a 76 re-issue. Only thing to say about he Explorer is I use Ultra heavy 12 -
54 Strings because I usually have it tuned down to B for the KoRn,
Disturbed, etc, type stuff.

This clip is Metallica and Slayer tuned down:

I tuned the Explorer to E (ish) for the Purple and Ozzy stuff:

In summary this amp has plenty of versatility and gain enough even for a
metal head like me, I'm sure I can dial in quite a range of sounds with this
bad boy! I hope to try some and record some more sounds, maybe even without
the attenuator this coming weekend! Just got to get the wife and kids out of
the house for a while.

Thanks to coco for the opportunity to try this amp!

John.

Thanks for the clips. This really shows the TC-15 in a different light. Certainly this demonstrates some of it's versatility.

Reminder: These were recorded after using an attenuator into a 15" speaker.

Need more... 8)

Hey coco.

Just wanted to say thanks again for the chance to play these amps! I might be able to talk with some authority on amplifiers some day. I might even learn how to use master volumes and volumes less than 10 - doubt it!

John :P
