Hey everyone

I did some experimenting with a friend yesterday. He's playing acoustic and singing, I'm adding the electric. The lyrics have religous content, just to forewarn. We set up and said, "so what should we play?" It's the song he started strumming.

A few observations:
1) I'm not sure how to place things in the soundfield for anything but a simple folk recording.
2) This is my lightning with the cut completely off.
3) Mic'd with an SM57 on the grill, pointed between the cone and rim. I had my ADK TC four feet in front, level with the speaker. The levels are equal in the recording.
4) I think my playing is cliche
5) The sound is true to what the amp sounds like.

Just in case the electric parts seems sporadic -- I was planning on using it as a sketch to come home to record something fuller but just decided to post instead :D

Thanks for posting and for sharing. The 15 comes through as clear & clean. I'd like to hear more level on it of course. How many tracks?

You guys did good! Cheers!!

Thanks for being supportive! I think the electric would come out more if I mixed it differently. Right now the acoustics are 60% left and right with the electric at 40% left and right. I'll listen through some songs to see how they position things.
