Well, a lot of water has passed under the bridge since our first clips were posted on the web site. Lawrence did this one using:

Guitar - Tokai SG-60, bridge pickup - 57 classics
Amp Trinity 15 Custom
Volume 12 o'clock
Bass 9 o'clock
Treble 9 o'clock
Master 12 o'clock

Speakers you ask? Tone Tubby Alnico Papers.

Will I be able to play like that if I build a Lightning?
:D

I think I need more time in the woodshed, it's a trade off building amps or playing the guitar. Great clip Lawrence.

The second clip was with the 135 with p90's. You can hear the large midrange content of the part. I think I will add a touch (just a speck) of reverb and bring it back into the track just a tad. I think it will sit better.

Here's a third Trinity 15 clip from Lawrence. This time with an s2 Treble Booster.

High input
Volume 9 o'clock
Bass 9 o'clock
Treble 7 o'clock
Master 1 o'clock
Tone Tubby Alnico Papercone

The mike was a large diaphragm condenser so the part is a little on the bright side. lbet says "I love the mock Steeley Dan riffs."

I say, If only we all could.

What a great selection of clips, it's really got me interested in a Lightning build. Great playing Lawrence. :D

Cheers Legin, I appreciate that. I have been overdue for Lightning clips and since I am home sick from work, found some time to carve out a few notes. I was mostly playing my Two Rocks but plugged in the lightning and was very pleasantly surpised. It's like a cleanish baby Dumble until you get the treble booster hooked up. Then stand back. It just oozes controlled feedback and harmonics. 8)

BTW, Dr. Rico. Freakin' "A" on the Tone Tubby paper cones with the Trinity 15. It is like a Blue with balls. It can take the bass without getting flubby.

Great tunes. How did you record them? What program did you use?
Thanks

You can get backing tracks all over the place. I use backing tracks from the web along with some I make with AbletonLive. I usually assemble them in Cool edit or Pro Tools and then add the guitar tracks.
