I'm posting these clips here because of the great help I received on this forum while building a modified "Foxy 18" by BrownNote. The thread for this can be found here:
http://trinityamps.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4194

https://soundcloud.com/pharmrock/vox-ef ... l-examples

the amp has an EF86 in V1 (NOS NEC), 12AX7 (EH) and 2 EL84's (Gold Lion), and EZ81. ClassicTone transformers.
Gain (8)
Tone (7)
Contour (6 position rotary...I used positions 1, 2 and 3)
H-Cut (aroudn 1 to 3)
Volume (8)

Parts strat with JbJr in bridge, Duckbucker middle, Alnico II Pro neck. Amp settings as above with occasional adjustments on Contour and Hi-Cut. Everything else with guitar volume, tone and pickup selector. JBJr is split in the middle/bridge position.

Closed-back 1x12 WGS Green Beret->SM57->Presonus 22VSL->Garageband. Left channel has very slight reverb, otherwise no effects.

Sounds great. This is probably pretty close to what our EF86 channel would sound like.

Thanks!...just some noodling and trying to show how it really cleans up with the guitar volume.
I'm debating on a TC-15 as the next project, but am also thinking about a deluxe since I already have this EF86 based amp.

I should also mention I am very tempted to drop the Trinity transformers in this amp, hearing how big of a difference it made in my superlite.

Yes, a Tweed would be a good next amp.

Sounds great PharmRock! Great tone and playing.

I'm a big WGS fan. This makes me think I should try out the WGS Green Beret for my TC15...

I've been really happy with all the WGS speakers I've tried...ET-65, Green Beret, Veteran 30. I haven't tried any of their "American" voiced speakers however so can't comment on those.

Kurtlives...the background hum/noise of the amp is virtually non-existent, even when cranked. The shielded cable and wire routing tips really made a difference.
