These clips were recorded during a recent www.grannisbea.com session here at Sly-Fi Chapel using the TripTop prototype with my Ampeg SVT15E 1x15 cabinet.

Microphone was an Audix D4 (best bass cab mic on the planet btw!!).
Bass player's name is RJ Satchithananthan and he was playing a Fender Bass... I believe it was a Precision but it was a little different... anyway I'm sure RJ will chime in here at some point!

On this session we were going for the outer edges of what the amp can produce - this band is all about creativity and unique tonality so we pushed things to the limit!! As a result you won't hear much in terms of "normal" bass tones here but should give you some idea of the wide range of tone possible the TripTop... Enjoy!

Corey, I think they were pushing it pretty hard to get the sound they were after. As Brent said, they were going for the "outer edges". I wasn't at the session, but Brent will post soon.

Hey Corey, yes definitely we were driving the amp in a lot of those clips... we def used pedals at times, but a lot of that particular session was about driving the amp. The TripTop has a crazy range of tone and was the perfect amp for this project... RJ the bass player commented that he couldn't believe how much range the amp has WITHOUT using pedals :)
