Sweet, sweet, sweet playing and recording! I checked out the MySpace page and was immediately taken by the band's stated mission:
Quote:
BILLY THE MOUNTAIN is also a band with the purpose of bringing the misfortune of others - children in particular - to the wider attention of our global audiences and to encourage others to finally and genuinely help the many poor and disadvantaged kids in the world.

Any profits we make as a touring band go to the kids and impoverished who need a helping hand. The money we make goes immediately and directly to build sustainable infrastructure which provides poor communities with clear, clean drinkable water, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year…forever.

With or without a record label we remain free spirits driven only by the desire to play music and to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

I wish you great success in your efforts.

nikkbh,

BILLY THE MOUNTAIN does really nice stuff. The raw clip is pretty classic Marshall crunch and you've really got the essence of the TC down with that clip to. Jazzy, funk works great! Still like the Plexi one.

Great demo for the amps to!

Yeah, they all have their own character dont they.
Cant wait to finish my Triwatt, all it's been delayed a bit

I get a lot of good response on my guitarsound.
I do experiment a lot with different microphones as well, but always end up using a sm57.

Billy the Mountain is a hobby project.
lHopefuly one day we take it on the road, and fulfill our ideals.

Holy jumpin'. The feel and tone on that guitar part you tracked with the TC-15 is outstanding.

Thanks for the clips.

Sorry for the late answer.

Its a mix of Tweed, TC and Plexi.
I dont really remember which one was used on which.

I can always get a good tone out of either of them.

But i started using another mic.
A Danish handmade ribbon mic, Tundra Pol-8, which is outstanding for guitars.
Acoustics as well.

Unfortunately the Transformer for the triwatt disappeared during a recent move.
So that won't be finished just yet.

Here are some more links.
