Hi All,
I recently completed my first amp build, an 18 watt TMB Plexi which was a great experience and an addictive one as well.

Here are a couple of excerpts of some jamming I recorded over a couple of Apple Loops I threw together for something to play along with.

I mostly play with pedals with the amp set fairly clean. Settings are:
TMB side Bass 4, Mid 2, Treble 6, Gain 4-5, Vol. 7-8 - Plexi side Treble 5, Vol. 4-5 Boost switched on.

Guitar is a lefty Franken-Strat made up of a Fender USA Vintage '62 body
with a Callaham Tremolo, a Musikraft quartersawn maple neck w/12in. radius and Eric Johnson Signature PU's. >>

Pedalboard >> (just the pedals I used) >> Area 51 Standard wah >> Zen Drive >> Timmy OD >> Prescription Electronics Vibe-Unit >> GGG Octavia clone >> GGG Four Knob Fuzz Face clone S/G hybrid >> EH Deluxe MemoryMan w/Analog Man mods >> Fulltone Tube Tape Echo. >> Plexi >> early 70's 4x12 bottom with orig. G12 30H 55hz. speakers.

SM57 mic >> Universal Audio 6176 Channel strip >> Motu 1296 interface w/Black Lion Audio mod >> Mac G5 Tower running Logic Pro8
Mixed down through a souped up Soundcraft Ghost Console with a touch
of buss compression from an Empirical Labs FATSO!

There is a tiny bit of outboard reverb to help gel the loops with the guitar a bit but nothing else, all the other delays etc. are the pedals into the front of the amp. Pedals are all routed thru a true bypass loop switcher.

Clips:

The first clip starts with the Tmmy OD then the wah.
The remainder of the clip is the ZenDrive. The Fulltone Tape echo is on the whole time. I'm switching PU's a good bit on both clips.

The second clip starts with the Fuzz Face clone, wah, MemoryMan set to a long delay.
The guitar volume is rolled back until after you hear the Octavia fail to kick on the first try (Geroge L's....I'm just sayin') then it's the everything but the kitchen sink Woodstock tone! Wah, Vibe-Unit, Octavia, Fuzz Face, MemeoryMan, Tape echo which is again on through-out. Fades with the Fuzz Face with the guitar volume rolled back again.

Thanks for making a great kit Stephen!

plexi - thanks for posting the clips for us to listen to. they do show a side of the amp most people have not heard so that's great.
Nice licks in there!
