This one's tough for me because I like something about all these clips. If I have to pick standouts, there's just something utterly rock and roll about the G12T-75s, so I have to give them my vote. But honorable mention goes to the Mesa V30s...

I should also mention that while playing with this amp, it made me want a 4x12 with Classic Lead 80s. While the CL80 clip may not be everyone's favourite (admittedly it's in the crappiest cabinet so it's not necessarily a fair comparison!), there was something really cool about the CL80s in the room when I was playing the v6...

In this one I prefer the clarity and brilliance of the TTA. Hands down. All the rest seemed muffled to me.

I went with the TT Ceramics on this one. The TTA was too open (the very reason I liked it in the clean poll).

I have to give honorable mention to the Fanes here. Listening to that clip it's obvious where some of that Hiwatt mojo comes from (to my ears at least).

Oddly enough I kind of like the Fender too. A little surprising to me. Of course I like the V30's, but it's a completely different feel than the TTC or the Fender.

I voted for the Greenback. Turns out I ended up voting for the Greenback on four of the six polls. Who knew?!

I'm not sure what to think about the Fanes. On a few of the six polls, pretty much the dirty ones, I was surprised at how dark the Fanes sounded. Actually, the 10" Celestions being so dark surprised me a bit too, but that's another story altogether. What seemed very odd about the Fanes is that they didn't seem as noticably dark on some of the clean polls, just different. It's hard to put my finder on what makes those Fanes so different than virtually every other selection in the polls, but they definitely are their own animal. Just when the dirty clips had almost convinced me to write off the Fanes as simply being "dark and lacking", some of the clean clips almost had me believing they're delicate and pretty. Weird speakers.
