Here are some clips of the inaugural run of our new Trinity Amps JTM-45. lbet did the honours playing a beautiful Les Paul. Everything was captured & I clipped a few for you to hear.

lbet took the Trinity JTM-45 away with him leaving me wondering if I'd ever see it again. :?

Hope you like them. I recorded it using a Lambda pre-box and Shure SM57.

Clips 1 and 2 have "ANGUS" written all over them...

OK, details on the JTM45 :D

What tubes? KT66's or 6L6's or what?

Cab or combo? Speakers?

You know that you're going to have to come up with a slant front 4 x 12 now.

And my "to do / build" list just got longer!! :D :D

THANKS :D :D

OK, Shuguang matched KT66s, Mustard caps/.022 Sozos, mostly carbon comps, Trinity transformers, 6.6K impedance tap used (not the 8K tap we have as well), head configuraton, 212 Bomb (Tone Tubbys).

lbet has it now so now pictures until he returns it.

Currently in a bare cab itching to be tolexed.

Just wanted to hear what it would sound like. So far, very good. We'l see what lbet has to say in a few days.

The guitar is a faded les paul double cut with old(ish) P-90's. It is a recent acquisition and sounds very nice. Seemed to be a perfect match with the JTM45.

The guitar was plugged into the bright channel input 2.....the volume was pretty much cranked with the treble on 8, mids on 3-4 and bass on 0. The channels were NOT linked. Yes Virginia there is more gain available.

I Have a Marshall bluesbreaker RI and it does not have the bold strident tone or chunky bottom that the Trinity has. Coco had some pretty (not too) funny ideas on how we can mod it. I think I will start small and work my way up to total replacement of the chassis!

Great amp.

By the way, I only miked the Alnico. The SM57 was right at the grillcloth at the Alnico Tone Tubby.
