Here is a link to a Corel Draw file which contains the face plate layout I used for my build:

http://home.comcast.net/~stvnscott/Ligh ... _Final.cdr

This layout will fit Ceri@tone's chassis exactly except for the extra speaker jack for the 16 Ohm tap. You would need to drill that hole in the chassis or delete it from the layout.

Feel free to customize it until your little heart is content. You can have the plates made by emailing the file to sales@bnplasers.com. You will have to specify the material and colors. I used semi gloss black plastic with white lettering. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably go with black mirror for some added BLING ;)

I just decided to not use the Ceri@tone faceplates because I'm adding a cut control to the front panel and a 16 ohm jack to the back, and figured it would just be neater to make up new plates than to start dymoing the whole thing.

I just ordered some custom faceplates from http://www.customampfaceplates.com for my spitfire. They ended being Under $20 per faceplate. Ramiro is really great.

:D Steve .. any chance you could post a version of the file in Corel 11 or earlier (I can't read the file)? I used one of Nik's kits, but want to get my faceplate done in black (rather than gold)

Thanks

Try this:

http://home.comcast.net/~stvnscott/Ligh ... al_v11.cdr

If that doesn't work, I'll try something earlier.

I partnered with Ramiro in my first several sets of plates. I think he recommeded I go straight to BNP when I started looking at quantity orders.

All I can say is he is top notch when it comes to customer service, etc. He does this as a service to the amp building community and makes absolutely no $$ after you figure in his layout work and fantastic communication effort. If you are looking for a one-off, you simply cannot go wrong with Ramiro. He is absoluteley the bomb! I highly recommend www.customampfaceplates.com.

I just thought this would be a bit quicker and easier for those who have Corel Draw and want to make more than a few of them.

HP color print (I've got a 24" machine at work), then laminated.

After a while, I may have better ones made, but for now I just want the amp to look "finished"

I've made faceplates for prototype exactly the same way. Designed in Visio. then you just need a printer capable of large sheets then take it over to Staples & get it laminated. Cut out the holes.
My first Lightning was done that way. Cost me, like $5.

S2, what version of CoralDraw doyou use? 12? I thought 11 was the latest. anyway,

I know this is off topic, but may I ask if you have the faceplate in cdr format for the 18watter TMB?

I didn't see it on 18watt.com download section. maybe I just missed it.

I have version 12, but I saved in it v11 for those who need it. I don't happen to have the file for a true TMB, but I do have it for my own non MV design. It wouldn't be difficult to modify to make it a Richie TMB or a trem version.

Go here:

What are you trying to do exactly? Do you want numbers 0-10? I don't know the right way to do it, so I kinda faked it by just making a circle and using individual text boxes for each number. I just placed them around the circle until I was happy then erased the circle. The only thing you have to careful about is the rotation of the pot. Alphas are 300 degrees, so you have to simulate that.

Yeah I'm trying to get 1-13 on there. I believe there's a function in Corel that will allow you to kind of do what you did, but more automatic. Maybe I'm wrong :), it's been known to happen! I'll just space it out and see if I can get it right. THANKS for the response
