First time builder and when I received the kit and looked at all the components, I thought I was in over my head!. So I made a point to go petty slow with it. The good news is everything started up perfectly the first time. Sounds very Vox-like. Just what I wanted!

My only issue so far, is that the stand by switch only reduces the volume a little. I will have to figure that out. Also, I may want to do some of the mods to increase the headroom a little.

I don't have a dedicated speaker for it yet. So just using my ceramic 12" from my milkman amp. not ideal. I want an alnico. Any suggestions? Alnico blue would be my first choice.

Anyway, love the sound and feels good to build it myself.

You can take your time with the mods and speaker selection. Each adjustment can significantly impact your sound, so it’s worth experimenting to find what works best. Enjoy your building journey!bubble shooter

You can look into capacitor upgrades or changing the feedback resistor values Snow Road
