Trinity cab, Ceri@tone #1 kit, s2 trannies and choke.

I've got tons of pulls for tubes to get the amp tested, then off to my friend Mike at KCA for some good tubes.

I'm looking forward to having an amp I can customize to my tastes. Since it's home-built there's no "keep it original" mindset.

As it is, 2 of my 4 present amps are modified slightly, but I don't have anything in the "Matchless" family.

Thanks for all your info on the forum, you've made this a fairly easy process.

What speakers are you using? As far a s tubes go, just keep an eye on the EL84s, they do run hot. Unlike the ultra sensitive 18, I found the 15 to be very easy to try tubes in. Very seldom did I get a tube that couldnt be taste tested.
So I think you're going to have a lot of fun! Keep us posted on the progress.

Speakers are Webers, an Alnico Blue Pup and an Alnico Silver 10. The Blue Pup is bright and pretty aggressive, the Silver 10 much smoother, with decent tight bass. I was using these speakers as a set in a Peavey DB210 I bought as a backup. The Peavey is gone, but I returned the speakers to stock before I sold it.

As far as tubes, I'll reserve judgement til the amp is up and running. I'm thinking 7189s maybe?? I'm hoping to be able to get those nice harmonics from the zero negative feedback design, but don't want to get too bright.

When might we expect some sound clips?

I don't even have anything in hand yet.

Cabinet must be made, as well.

If all goes well, I guess we're talking a month or so.
