A friend has purchased my original Thunderbolt 9 Prototype with the Hammond Chassis and Cover. I call it a ToneBox Head.

I'll miss the ugly old thang.

How are those to use? I've pondered that sort of rig rather than building a head cabinet since I don't gig.

Bear;

I used the Aluminum Chassis on this one and it's very easy to drill. I have gigged that amp several times also. When I shipped it today, the total weight rounded off to 16 Pounds. :lol: My guess is the amp weighs around 13 to 14 Pounds. Very easy on the ol' lumbars. 8)

Thanks!!!

I know how it feels. I sold my prototype Lightning I made from a Hammond L-100 reverb amp ages ago, and it was a beauty! I still think about it & check in with the owner. Seems to be going strong.
