 Post subject: Best Teflon coated wire?

I don't know about solid core. I use stranded Teflon from Apex Jr. They also have shielded Teflon.

I just ordered a batch of 22awg and 18awg stranded teflon coated 600v wire from apex jr.

I was concerned, at first, that the stranded stuff wouldn't bend and shape well enough....but it turns out it does it just fine. He doesn't have much solid core stuff right now...only stranded stuff.

But the stranded stuff looks good so far. I'll be using 22awg for the majority of the amp, and the 18awg stuff for heaters and grounds.

I find the teflon very hard to strip with my one-handed wire stripping tool. Very slippery stuff! Has anyone got any tips to make this task easier?

I use a crude little cheapo tool for Teflon. I'll try to remember to snap a pic of it.
