Hey folks,

I'm tolexing my lightning head cab today....and I'm about an hour or two away from doing the front panel.

The big question....should I run piping around the panel or not?

what do you guys think?

Were you just thinking of piping around the front panel or are you putting piped joins on the top of the cab? I always thought that it looke better without the joins but I do like a piped highlight around the panel.

No this is a lightning cab...so I wont be doing the marshall-style piping on the top of the cab...plus, I hate that look anyway...when I do my 6v6 plexi, I'm probably going to model the cab after a more modern marshall anyway...

So to answer your question, If I pipe, it'll be around the front panel only....

Yes on the piping. I love that tadpole stuff. Now, what color? Same as your knobs I'm guessing, but cream piping and cream chicken head knobs are my personal favorite. But, if you're going traditional Lightning, then I'd say yes to piping and white.
