Hmm... I guess they figured out that people really liked to clone that one or something. I have been wondering for a while what they looked like. 8)

I guess if Marshall can reintroduce the 18, Fender the deluxe, then why not? The list price is ony $200+ less than a Lightning though. Still seems a bit steep.

Wow! I just looked at the price tag. That does seem pretty steep... :shock:

Yeah, considering you can make one for less than half of that. Ouch, what are they thinking? and the cab is so simple, very easy to build one of those. Nothing special at all.

Hey, they have several new amps on the market. I wonder who designed them? More importantly, I wonder how they sound? I wonder who writes their silly marketing blurbs?

They are just being consistent. The price is unmatched just like their amp!

Yeah, I bought West Labs iron and still only spent about $400 or so. But, that's for a head. So add a couple hundred more for a good speaker. Still at considerably less than half the cost of a real one.

I'll say! 8)

I hear you guys on the price! This WoodCross Thunderbolt 9 in one of Trinity's custom cabs went to the customer for less than 900 Bux.

Though based on the Spitfire circuit, it's more versatile. A Boo-teek amp does not have to cost a bundle.

I also agree that Matchless probably reintroduced it due to it's popularity with the DIY Market. Let's face it, it's a different beast than the Lighning in it's voiceing and some prefer the clean headroom of the Spitfire.

Nice lookin' amp Maccabee! What makes it different (more versatile) than the Spitfire?

Paul;

Thanks!!! A bit more Clean Headroom and some Plexi style Grind due to the Normal/Boost Switch in conjunction with a SS Recto and the use of a Marshall 18 Watt OT.
