I bought a commpleted lightening chassis and the west transformers and trinity combo shell from one of the guys from the 18 watt forum.

All I had to do was wire in the transformers. I feel like I cheated but....man this little amp sounds killer!

I dropped a greenback into the combo just to help tame the volume but I was wondering what you guys liked using in a 1x12

TIA

I like the Avatar Hellatone 30. It's a pre-broken in Celestion G12H30.

I haven't a suggestion per se, but I have had thoughts about using a Red Fang with my Spitfire. If you can find one, a Celestion Sidewinder might sound nice, too.

For 1X12 like a vintage Rola Alnico that is a copy of the Jensen P12N. But my current fave is 2X10s Jensen P10Rs.

I like the BBQ Silver Bell in mine. It also sounds good through my 212 loaded with Greenbacks and with a Blue. I bet the Red Fang would be nice too, but LOUD!

I put a Red Fang in an amp recently and was very impressed--especially for the $$. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to hear it after it was broken in. What I can't figure out about this speaker is some specs give it a sensitivity of 103dB and other give it 97dB. I thought it was unusually loud, so what gives?!

you may want to try a Private Jack for-less-greens.
