Hi-

Full disclosure:) I'm super new at this. so apologies, in advance, for the dumb/newbie question. I have wired a bunch of guitars and replaced components on my amps, but have never tried to do an entire build. So I'm jumping in with the TC15. I am at the stage where I am wiring the Hi and Lo input jacks and I have a question. Is the black wire used for the jacks the rohs wire? If so, it appears to be split and going to separate terminals on the jack. how do you split it? or do you just splice it with another piece if itself, like the wire I'm used to working with:)

if anyone even understands what I'm asking, I would appreciate the help.

Thanks!

Danny

I'll let someone else verify, but I believe what you are talking about should be the shielded wire, looks like coax cable with an outer insulation layer then the braided ground wire layer, then a white plastic layer with a wire core. If you look at some of the build pictures you can see how the braided ground layer is twisted and soldered to the ground tabs of the jack. Note only one end of the ground wire is attached, the other is trimmed back and can be covered with shrink tube to prevent ground loops.

yes, that's the wire I'm talking about. I have never worked with that before and was unsure how to go about it. Thanks so much for the info. I was stuck in the mud!

Glad I could help, there should be a section with detailed drawings of how to handle in the work instructions and in the resources section of the forum.
