Well, my OT has 4, 8 and 16 ohm taps. I can't really see myself using the line out feature.

Maybe I don't understand what it is fully capable of, but it seems rather limited with no real speaker emulation. Headphones late at night perhaps?

I think I'm just going to add the 16 ohm out instead of the Line Out.

What did you guys do?

I don’t think you would want to use the line out for headphones unless you had one of the other taps run into a dummy load/line dump, since the line out does not provide a load for the OT. It is handy if you want to run another amp. The OT I used (s2) also has taps for 4, 8, & 16 ohms, so I just drilled another hole, well actually 2 since I added a level adjust to the line out. All that being said, I could defiantly live without it, but you never know.

No, don't use it for headphones. It is useful when you want to drive another amp or PA, or effect. The original amp has this, but go ahead and sub a 16 ohm if you prefer.

I drill an extra hole in the chassis and use both options myself. I use the line out feature quite a bit in my little home studio to drive a Red Box. I also plug it into my Marshall for a Herzog effect. It's muy bueno!

Is it me, or does that choke in the pic above look massive? What brand trannies did you use?

I got the transformer set (including the choke) from s2. The choke is a Hammond, don’t recall the value at the moment (I believe it is a 159M which is rated at 10 Henries, 100 mA), and the PT & OT are s2’s design. I have been very happy with the performance and sound of the set.

If it's the choke that s2 provides, I think that's a 158M...

I'm obviously not there yet....but I'm not doing the seperate speaker outs.

I like the option of plugging into more than one speaker, so I'm going to do my outs like a traditional marshall...

I've got a 3-way switch that will give me 4-8-16 and I will have 2 parallel outputs wired hiwatt style for the extra insurance.

Then, I'm going to drill an extra hole for that line out....

Once I get this compressor pedal done, it's lightning city for me!!!!
