Hello, I need some clarification on a few things and your help would be appreciated.

On the power ground there are three terminals and they're getting pretty crowded.

1. The lug on the left had a green, red and blue wire. It's my understanding this is a connectio and not a ground. Woud it be OK to tie the three together, solder and put shrink wrap on it?

2. Again on the power ground. There appears to be link between the middle and right lug. Is that correct? This would make both terminals grounded.

3. I'm not clear on how the shielding cable works. I've read the directions on page 43. There is a small wire inside the plastic and also the braided shield. I'm assuming the shield is the part that's sectioned off with the shrink wrap and the central wire is all that's connected. What's the difference between the small diameter line on the volume pot and the larger?

Your help is appreciated.

There is no link between any of the lugs on the power terminal strip. The two outer lugs are for the 6.3 volt heater power. They get the green wires from the power transformer and also the connections to the pilot light and the output tube. There should be enough space on the holes in the lugs for all three wires.

The center lug on the terminal strip is ground. It gets the red-yellow and green-yellow wires from the power transformer and the ground for the circuit board.

The small inside wire carries the signal. The braid is for shielding. The braid is only connected to ground on one end of the cable. On the layout drawing, the inner wire is represented by the large line. The small line is the braid connecting to ground at the volume control. Cut the braid off at the other end and put shrink tubing over it so it can't touch anything.
