I’ve just won some EF86s on ebait so it’s time for a pentode project! I can’t really decide between the DC30 EF86 channel with the 6 way tone selector or the famous Traynor based TB tonestack so… why not have both…?
I have a 2 pole 6 position rotary switch, I could switch between TB tonestack (pos 1) and no tone stack but 5 different coupling caps in pos 2 – 5.
This would mean that I will have to drop one of the 6 coupling caps and here’s my question: which coupling caps do you think are the most useful?

you could just stagger the cap values in order to keep the outer values.
