Hello, I was just wondering how hard it would be to just build the sIII but only building the normal side? Just a simple 1 tone, 1 vol, 2 input amp. Have you any schematics or layouts that already work this way? Perhaps it's easier than I think. I just wondered if I would need to make any significant changes out of the ordinary.
thanks
Don

afaik, and Stephen can chime in...the channel with the most unique aspects is the TMB channel...and the normal channel is very similar to a lite...

Yea I just seem to be spending more time on the normal side and I have a guy asking me to build him one but I think if I just built the normal side it would go a lot quicker and have less to troubleshoot.
thanks
Don

You're probably better off building the lite then...the lite is basically the normal channel of the sIII, right stephen?

The lite is not the same as the sIII Normal channel, but you can try the Lite IIa. It's close, but again, not identical.

I think the board is OK to use, but you bettercheck it if you want to be sure.

You can just take the sIII board layout and chop off the TMB part of the layout if you want.

Ahh, I stand corrected! :)

Yeah, I'd like to do a TMB lite too....but one with enough gain to melt paint off the walls!

I dont know the normal side really has me groovin I dont feel like I need more gain than that. I did check out the light IIb but I already know how much I like the normal side of my sIII so I was just going to build that.
Thanks
Don
