We are making our Tweed 5E3 Deluxe amp available as a kit. The price is $410 USD + $25 shipping in North America. Everything is included except speaker and cabinet.

The chrome chassis is made in Canada using our artwork. We eliminated the ground switch and labeled it a Standby switch. The chassis is tapped to fit the tube mounting screws and jack mounting holes are punched to fit the supplied insulating shoulder washers. Our grounding scheme is proven to be better and quieter than the original and other designs. In addition, we designed a proper way to mount the eyelet board and had holes punched in the chassis to suit.

Transformers are key to the sound of an amp. Ours are made by Heyboer in the USA exclusively for Trinity Amps using our design specifications. Like all Trinity transformers, these are heavy duty, well built and intended to last a life-time - unlike some lower cost products. The Power Transformer delivers 400 VDC B+ with new 5Y3 tubes in this application. The 6.3 V is center tapped so no awkward grounding resistors are required - another improvement.

Other features:
- Chromed Welded Steel Chassis with White Lettering - 14.5W X 4.125D X 2.625H
- Switchcraft Jacks
- Carling Switches
- Belton tube sockets with tube retainers or shields
- Carbon Comp resistors
- Orange drop type capacitors
- 1/8" GP03 eyelet board
- 20 guage hook-up wire
- JJ 6V6, 12AX7, EH 12AY7, Sovtek 5Y3 tube set.
- Heyboer Custom Transformers * now with 120/240 Voltage
- 55 + pages of Full Documentation.

Note: Most companies charge extra for Switchcraft Jacks, Carling Switches, Carbon Comp resistors and provide thinner eyelet board material. And most provide minimal or no documentation or support. We invite you to compare products.

It's built old school. Sounds and looks vintage Deluxe!

Buy your Kit with confidence!

Stephen; is this chassis for a combo and not a head configuration? I'm hoping you changed your mind since the last time we talked.

Combo. Still.

But you can build a head cab around this chassis. A cab would need to be about 8-1/2" deep in total I think. I investigated this with another vendor & found out they used a combo chassis for heads.

Just curious!
Are the transformers interleaved or straight like the original Deluxe? :?
Thanks

The output transformers are straight - like the original. Like a choke! More expensive, more original, more better!

USD. Not so long ago it didn't matter. :( Some Canucks took advantage of that!

Coco, the link is broken. It has an extra character at the end "="

It's listed as:

http://www.guitarscanada.com/content/38 ... -kit.html=

Should be:

http://www.guitarscanada.com/content/38 ... e-kit.html

Excellent review. I'm enjoying my Trinity Deluxe! :D
