In my small town I happened to see the old gentleman who lived by his appliance/TV store (long closed), and asked him if he would happen to have any old rubes from his business days. And this is the sad part,he said "Why, yes I had stock worth about $3000 left , but sold them to a guy in Prague (a smaller nearby town) for....are you ready

for $600!?!

My heart nearly broke.

As an aside, if I had only known as a youngster, I would have stocked up on Sylvania tubes when they had a factory here in Shawnee!
