Hey There,

I'm looking for advice on how to solder the components to the board. I've soldered components before to a board but there were turrets on that board. The board I have now just has eyelets. I'm assuming that you don't want the components to sit flush on the board to allow for air circulation for cooling. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks. :)

I've seen it recommended that the high wattage power resistors be (3W, 5W) be mounted proud of the board. Other than that they can be flush with the board, like a PCB board.. Also, you can offset them (power) resistors off the edge if they're located near there.
